GRAND FAREWELL ACCORDED TO MIR, QADIRI

Apr 30: J&K Animal Husbandry Technical Field Staff Association Wednesday organized a grand farewell to its two senior members Khurshid Ahmad Mir and Sharief-ud-din Qadiri on their attaining the age of superannuation.
Senior officers of the department and members of the association hailing from different districts participated in the farewell function, which was presided over by Dr Bhupinder Singh, Director Animal Husbandry, Kashmir.
The J&K Veterinary Doctors’ Association office bearers including its president Dr SM Saleem were present on the occasion.
Speakers praised the honesty and dedication of Khurshid Ahmad Mir in discharging his duties. Khurshid an ace footballer joined the department in September 1976 and worked in different capacities. He also acted in several dramas. His last assignment in the department was in its vaccine wing. His role as senior Vice President of the JKTFSA was appreciated by all including Mohammad Ahsan Sheikh, President of the association. Ahsan also lauded the role of Sharief-ud-din Qadiri in the department.
Dr AA Baba Chief Executive Officer of KLDB and Dr T R Loach, JD, FSB Rambirbagh, Dr AM Mufti, DD (P), Dr F A Kaloo DD (AH) presented mementoes to the JKTFSA office members on behalf of district Srinagar body and Dr Sheikh Saleem, President JKVDA presented mementoes to the retiring officials on behalf of the association.
The speakers wished the duo a happy post-retirement life.
