Mar 31: J&K Veterinary Doctors Association, Kashmir Branch today
organized a simple but impressive farewell ceremony to Dr Ashok Kumar
Misri, Joint Director, Institute of Animal Health &Biological
Products, at its head office in Srinagar. The ceremony was presided
over by Dr Bhupinder Singh, Director, Animal Husbandry Kashmir.
Dr
Misri, a graduate from Rajasthan Veterinary College, Bikaneer, joined
the department initially in 1973 on ad hoc basis but after confirmation
of his services by J&K PSC, he was posted in Sheep Husbandry
Department. He was later repatriated to Animal Husbandry Department in
1975.
He has had the distinction of working in all the three
regions of the state in different cadres and finally attained
superannuation today.

Rather and Bhupinder Singh described him a gentleman who was loved by
the rank and file in the department.
Dr Bhupinder Singh presented
a shawl and a memento to him on behalf of the JKVDA. His subordinates
bid him farewell at IAH&BP Campus Zakura later on.
